E-Code Information for Participants Holding Passports Ineligible for Visa-Exempt Entry to Taiwan

Participants holding a passport NOT eligible for Visa-Exempt Entry to Taiwan, please contact the conference secretariat IMMEDIATELY at aspacc2023@gmail.com and send a scanned copy of your passport to apply for an E-Code. An E-Code is required for applying E-Visa online. The process can take up to a month!
Delegates attending government sponsored international conferences like ASPACC 2023 are eligible for E-Visa application. But the delegate has to obtain an E-Code, which is essential while applying the E-Visa online, from the Ministry of Foreign Affair through the conference organizer. The process may take up to a month. If you need a visa to attend ASPACC 2023, immediately initiate the procedure outlined below:
- Send your passport copy to aspacc2023@gmail.com before 10th April 2023.
- The conference organizer will apply to relevant agencies for the E-Code. It may take a few weeks for this step.
- As soon as the E-Code is received from the government agency, the conference secretariat will forward the E-Code to you for E-Visa application.
- Visit eVisa Application (boca.gov.tw) to fill out the E-Visa applications and complete the payment of application fee online.
- After sending out the E-Visa application, you will receive the E-Visa in about a week.
